Interior Lifestyle China 2026 expands international brand participation and digital commerce opportunities

4 Nov 2026

Shanghai, 4 November 2026. The 16th edition of Interior Lifestyle China wrapped up its three-day run at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre on 10 October, hosting over 300 exhibiting brands from 29 countries and regions. This represents an increase of more than 30% on the last edition, with brands hailing from outside mainland China also up by over 10%. Under the theme ‘Get Together!’, the fair drew 9,215 visits, spanning trade buyers, retailers, influencers and lifestyle enthusiasts. Presenting a dazzling array of homeware, gift ideas, and trendy decor, this edition notably expanded into IP trendy toys and fashion accessories. Backed by a strengthened partnership with rednote and an upgraded buyer experience, it offered brands new opportunities to tap into China’s fast-growing content-driven e-commerce and emotional economy.

Mr Edward Che, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (Shenzhen) Co Ltd, reflected on the fair’s success: “The 2026 edition has proven that the intersection of content, commerce, and community is where the lifestyle industry is heading. We are thrilled by the strong resonance of our expanded product categories with buyers. Deepening collaboration with rednote and introducing fresh buyer activities has created a dynamic ecosystem that drives sales conversion and fosters lasting impact and insight. The energy on the show floor reaffirms that Shanghai remains the beating heart of lifestyle commerce in China.”

New categories spark interest as traditional segments remain robust
The fair’s strategic expansion into IP trendy toys and fashion accessories generated noticeable buzz. Exhibiting brands showcased plush collectibles, boutique toys, designer dolls, and original homeware from China, France, Denmark, Malaysia and beyond. COSRADIO, an emerging label from China known for its sci-fi aesthetic, made its first appearance and reported notable buyer interest in its fantasy-inspired products.

Ms Jin Meng, Brand Manager at Chengdu Future Light Culture Media (COSRADIO), shared: “This fair has far exceeded our expectations, offering a vital platform to enhance our brand visibility. We connected with multi-brand boutiques, supermarkets and influencers, gathering invaluable feedback. We launched two new cups from the HALO series at the show, each paired with original comics and adventure stories. Our sci-fi aesthetic attracted not only younger consumers but also senior buyers.”

Meanwhile, established categories such as kitchen and tableware remained a crowd favourite. Leading brands like Falk (Belgium), Ginori 1735 (Italy), and Gustavsberg (Sweden) presented their latest collections, drawing significant attention from influencers, retailers, and lifestyle enthusiasts.

This enduring appeal was echoed by returning exhibitors. Ms Amanda Chen, Head of Merchandising of TDBY Brand Management (Shanghai), noted: “Specialising in tableware and kitchenware, we brought 24 brands to Interior Lifestyle China, including many new additions. We were pleased to welcome many existing clients who came to browse our latest products, and to connect with new customers, including buyers from fashion boutiques. The fair’s digital reach was equally impressive – influencers arranged by the organiser generated substantial sales while livestreaming our products, delivering strong exposure and instant online feedback.”

Curated zones drew crowds, from trends to everyday sourcing
Adding to the breadth of offerings, the Ambiente Trends 26+ Special Showcase brought the season’s design language – brave, light and solid – to life with more than 100 new products from nearly 50 brands, giving visitors a direct experience of emerging home aesthetics.

Complementing this, the Everyday Lifestyle Goods area featured nearly 50 manufacturers offering kitchenware, home decor, glass, and ceramics, among others, guiding buyers from design inspiration to affordable, retail-ready options. Nearby, the ILC × rednote fantastic goods zone attracted constant attention with over 30 premium lifestyle brands on display. Influencer livestreams also amplified the zone’s reach.

Livestreaming amplifies reach and sales alongside onsite engagement
Beyond the halls, the fair sparked digital activity. Nearly 100 influencers from home lifestyle sectors livestreamed their picks. Ms Joyce Wang, a renowned live commerce influencer with over 339,000 followers, reported a robust engagement during the fair: “This was my first time livestreaming at Interior Lifestyle China across two days. I was impressed by the diverse product range, particularly in homeware, which also impressed my viewers. European tableware shone alongside handcrafted items, from established brands to smaller labels from Jingdezhen in China, as well as Japan and Korea – something for every taste,” said Joyce.

Onsite engagement matched this online buzz. Ms Tammie Wu, General Manager of TAIO Living, praised the fair’s professional curation: “The fair assembled a distinguished mix of quality brands, distributors and discerning consumers, cultivating a vibrant ecosystem for trade. This year, we aimed to broaden our channel access and introduced premium home lifestyle brands to the Chinese market with excellent results. Our booth drew steady foot traffic, with influencers and B2B buyers exploring collaboration opportunities.”

Buyer programme and rednote salon deepened know-how and insights
Strengthening visitor experience, a dedicated two-day buyer programme welcomed senior representatives from leading home furnishing retailers, distributors, and multi-brand boutiques from across China. Activities included guided exhibition tours, salon sessions, and visits to benchmark retail stores in Shanghai. A rednote salon provided practical advice on platform operation, conversion strategies, data interpretation, and content creation, directly empowering retailer representatives.

Among the participants was Mr Zhenhao Huang, buyer at Ruiyi, a newly opened homeware store in Hangzhou, China, specialising in vintage vessels and decorative pieces. He commented: “The buyer programme was inspiring. Visiting IMOD DOMI, a homeware and lifestyle boutique of imported brands, showed us how thoughtful space curation elevates retail. The rednote salon offered useful takeaways on digital strategies and market trends. Overall, the visit sparked fresh ideas for my product selection and store design.”
